Sardinia

DAY 1 : Olbia - Tavolara
Meet at 6 p.m. in the Olbia marina for your boarding. You will meet the crew, drop your luggage in your cabin and set sail for the Tavolara island. You will anchor in the beautiful, preserved bay of Spalmatore and enjoy a swim in the shallow waters. You will absolutely love your first dinner on board and the sun set over the horizon. Overnight on board.

DAY 2 : Tavolara - La Cinta - Marinella
How about starting the day with a refreshing swim in the Tyrrhenian Sea? You will take a short sail to the famous La Cinta beach right after. This magnificent golden sand beach bordered by turquoise water is nicknamed "Tahiti Beach". After lunch, head north to anchor in the Marinella Gulf. You will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and nature of this bay. Overnight on board.

DAY 3 : Marinella - Costa Smeralda
This morning, your skipper hoists the sails to travel along the Smeralda coast to the Gulf of Arzachena. There are plenty of quiet little bays (such as baia Sardinia, cala Bitta, Canniggione, etc.) where you can stop to relax, swim, snorkel and paddle. You will also discover the famous Roccia dell'Orso (the Bear Rock), an impressive bear-shaped granite rock, sculpted by the wind over time. Overnight on board.

DAY 4 : Costa Smeralda - La Maddalena
Today, we head for the Maddalena archipelago. You will have swimming and relaxation breaks near the islands of Porco and Santo Stefano. After lunch, short sail to the island of La Maddalena. You will dock at the small port of Mangiavolpe, located in the south of the island. You can stroll through the lively town centre or relax on a terrace sipping a cocktail. The coastline also offers beautiful scenery. Overnight on board.

DAY 5 : La Maddalena - Bonifacio
You cast off and set sail for Corsica. You will sail along Spargi Island before entering the Straight of Bonifacio and discovering the spectacular town of the same name. contemplate a citadel built into the limestone rock 70 metres above the sea. You will have free time to visit its essential sites: the King of Aragon's staircase with its 187 steps, the Fortress of the Standard dating from the 15th century with its incredible walls, its town centre with narrow streets, etc. Overnight on board.

DAY 6 : Bonifacio - Grande Pevero
You start your return journey to Sardinia. You will stop at the Cap de Pertusato and discover the "Rudder of Corsica" just in front of it. It is a huge rock carved by the army in 1880 to watch over the Strait of Bonifacio. You will continue towards Budelli Island, particularly known for its pink sand beach (colour due to its granite rock and the presence of micro-organisms) before stopping at Grande Pevero. Possibility to reach Porto Cervo (capital of the Smeralda Coast) by dinghy. Its village, built in the 1960s, has a typical architecture of northern Sardinia (Gallura). Overnight on board.

DAY 7 : Grande Pevero - Olbia
After a morning swim in the turquoise water facing the beautiful half-moon-shaped beach of Grande Pevero, you will sail in the direction of Olbia. The crossing will be marked by a few stops on charming fine sandy beaches (Cala di Volpe, Liscia Ruja, Petra Bianca, etc.). This is also an opportunity to explore the seabed once more before reaching Olbia. Overnight on board.

DAY 8 : Olbia
You disembark in Olbia's marina after breakfast, around 9 a.m.

    Sardegna 7days

Globe Sailor was very helpful in organizing our trip. Our advisor answered all inquiries very quickly and was extremely thorough. I would definitely recommend an extra day on either end of an excursion to visit the town of Olbia.
All the scheduled stops were very beautiful and because mid September there weren’t too many crowds. I would have preferred to do more sailing than motoring to destinations but of courses that was weather dependent. Meals on board were great. I would suggest that the itinerary should have at least one night in a port that dinner is not included on the boat so you are able to sample the local cuisine. Our experience with globe sailor was very positive.

    Costa smeralda in catamarano

Tutto sommato bravi bellissima vacanza grazie

Frequently asked questions

  • Is everyone on board English-speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer multilingual service.
  • Who takes care of my air transport to Sardinia?

Your plane tickets can be booked by the GlobeSailor team. All you need to do is specify this to your adviser when booking your cruise.
  • How are my transfers between the airport and the marina organized?

Your transfers are not included in your cruise package. If you wish, your GlobeSailor adviser can help you organize them. Do not hesitate to ask him for more information.
  • How does a crewed cruise (with skipper and hostess) work?

All the skippers we offer are declared and have the necessary professional certificates. They speak English fluently. The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Do not hesitate to take part in manoeuvres with him, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Regarding the organization, the skipper and the hostess/cook sleep on the boat (either in the saloon or in cabins).
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
  • Are the menus adapted to special dietary requirements?

We strive to offer the best possible services on our cruises and providing special dietary options are part of this. Please inform your charter advisor of any dietary restrictions or requirements well in advance of the cruise, so that the crew may be informed and make the necessary adaptations to the menus provided.
Please note that the preparation of adapted menus adds a certain level of complexity for our hostesses/cooks, who will prepare meals for 12 guests on board. Sourcing good quality substitute products also incurs additional costs. It is therefore necessary for us to charge a supplement, in order to guarantee that all our guests on board receive the same level of quality service.
  • Can I bring alcohol on board?

No passengers are allowed to bring bottles of alcohol on board.
  • What does on-board cash box include?

The on-board cash box includes the following elements:
Payment of taxes in national parks
Tourist taxes and landing in the islands
Anchorage and mooring fees at certain ports of call
The costs of any additional supplies of fresh water, fuel, gas, fresh produce, etc.
  • What do I do to confirm my reservation?

To confirm your reservation, you must inform your GlobeSailor adviser who will make an option for you while collecting your deposit. The reservation will only be considered final once your deposit has been received (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card), of 30 to 50% of the amount of the reservation. A 100% deposit will be required for any reservation within one month of departure. The balance will be due no later than 45 days before the boarding date.
  • What happens in case of cancellation?

In the event of cancellation, you must notify your GlobeSailor adviser as soon as possible. Whatever the cause, the following cancellation fees will be due: up to 90 days before departure: 30% /// from 89 to 60 days: 50% /// from 59 to 30 days: 75% /// 29 days until departure: 100% of the amount of your reservation.
