This was the 3rd Bali charter and 2nd through Global Sailor.

A seamless experience with valuable assistance from Alec along the way when dealing with Medcat Yachts.

Boat was great as expected, however Freezer did not work (was replaced totally on 2nd day) and BBQ had faulty regulator which the skipper tried valiantly to fix but could not - did not worry us as we never needed to use.

Finding the yacht was a bit of a challenge as the actual operator was AVT Charters, not Medcat Yachts!!

Everything was excellent but what was outstanding was the skipper!
he really made this trip exceptional!

We have chartered, this type of boat before. A Bavaria 51 Cruiser. They sail quite well. And because the boat is quite large you can travel a lot of miles faster than a small boat. We particularly liked the folding down bathing platform at the stern. The gulley works quite well. And the separate shower cubicle is very good. We had 8 sailors onboard and we felt you needed a lot of them when mooring.

This was something I'll never forget. The scenery was awesome, the boat was very fun to be on and it was so enjoyable to see the Amalfi coast towns! Marco and Giacinto were awesome.

No boat issues, great customer service and support.

The boat was only delivered to Horta a few days before the start of the charter. It had previously been in Cabo Verde.
The one man maintenance crew in Horta had not had the chance or resources to prepare the yacht properly.
Overall for the price point the yacht was in very poor condition compared 4 others I have chartered in the last 2 years.

The welcome by Kristyna was professional and speedy.
The boat handover by Marco somewhat lackadaisical. (No check of the heads). No tea cloths or wash up sponge no cloth pegs. Just ask. The Dufour 430 was in good condition, two small issues were promptly corrected. On the Salina Island we had an issue with anchor and bow thruster. The charter company despatched a very competent technician almost immediately (Arturo) and we were able to continue in two hours or so. I can recommend GAIS as a charter company.
This was a first time for me as skipper in the Aeolian. We enjoyed the experience very much. The wind was excellent most of the week. The prevailing westerly was strong during our week and made it impossible to explore Filicudi and Alicudi islands. Friendly locals, good food and wine, we will be back.
