On the sailing journey, you will pass through the Pelagos Sanctuary.A protected maritime area, the result of an agreement between France, Italy and the Principality of Monaco, whose purpose is to preserve marine mammals (sperm whales, beaked whales, dolphins, etc.). Step off board in the small port of Porto Vecchio, the ideal starting point to explore the treasures of the island. Adventurers can follow hiking trails that lead to the remains of an old prison or to the only village on the island (can be accessed by bus for €1 *).You will have the chance to visit the village's Saint-Nicolas church, the Sacred Heart of Jesus and its 16th century Genoese fortress. Enjoy a well deserved ice cream at La Gelateria and a relaxing break in Cala San Francesco. Spend the night at anchor.

At the tip of the island, observe the red rocks, remnant of an ancient volcanic eruption and the Torre Zenobito. Your cruise continues to Marciana Marina, the smallest village on the island of Elba. For your free afternoon, we advise you to visit Mount Capanne, standing at 1,019 metres and whose 360-degree view will not leave you disappointed! Frequently asked questions

  • Can I book my flights and accommodation in addition to my cruise?

    YES!
Our travel agency offers guests who embark on a cruise to book their flights or accommodation. Our tailor-made offers adapt to your needs and budget.

We have created two offers that are 100% customisable :
    - Serenity Service : Book your flights
    - Service Extension : Book your accommodation (hotel, cottage, villa...) and/ or complementary activities (excursions, guided tours, car rental...).

Our advisors, specialists of the destination, will send you their best proposals for your holiday.
  • Is everyone on board English speaking?

Please note that this cruise is not exclusive to English speaking travelers. It is quite common to meet people of various nationalities on board as we offer cruises to international clientele - encouraging curious and enriching exchanges for both passengers and crew.
Crew members are multilingual and qualified to offer a multilingual service.
  • How are transfers between the airport and the boat organised?

Transfers are not included in your package. However, they can be arranged by your GlobeSailor advisor and the base manager, by taxi or minibus. Payment for this service is usually made to GlobeSailor at the time of the balance payment or directly on site in cash. Don't forget to send your arrival times to your advisor!
  • How is a cruise with a skipper and a hostess organised?

All the skippers we offer are registered and have the necessary professional certificates. They speak English fluently. The skipper is responsible for the navigation and your safety on board. Do not hesitate to participate alongside him in the manoeuvres, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Regarding the organisation, the skipper and the hostess/cook sleep on the boat (either in the saloon or in cabins).
All our cabin cruises include the services, at a minimum, of a skipper and a hostess (unless otherwise stated in the contract).
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
  • What payments do I have to make to confirm my reservation?

To confirm your reservation, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will ask for an option for you to collect your deposit. The reservation will only be considered final once your deposit received (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card), from 30 to 50% of the amount of the reservation. A deposit of 100% will be required for any reservation within one month of departure. The balance will be due no later than 45 days before the boarding date.
  • What happens if I need to cancel my cruise?

If you wish to make a cancellation, you should contact your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the circumstances, you will be charged the following cancellation fees, depending on when the cancellation is made: up to 90 days before departure = 30%; 89 to 60 days before departure = 50%; 59 to 30 days before departure = 75%; 29 days or less before departure = 100% of the total cost of your booking.
