Polynesia

Day 1 : Ohotu - Onetere
Board your catamaran at 3pm. After discovering the catamaran and a briefing with the crew, enjoy lunch to get to know your fellow passengers. Afterwards, you will sail about 15 nautical miles to the anchorage of Onetere. Your afternoon will be devoted to water activities: swimming, snorkelling or kayaking. This is your first day getting used to the beautiful scenery! Dinner and overnight at anchor.

Day 2 : Onetere - Pink Sands
After breakfast, your skipper will set the course for Bird Island. This nature reserve is home to thousands of seabirds such as white terns, frigate birds, great crested grebes, etc. After a moment of relaxation and snorkelling at Turea, it is time for lunch on board to recharge your batteries. At the end of the afternoon, you will head for the Pink Sands, to discover the easternmost part of Rangiroa and take a walk on the magnificent sandbank. Dinner and overnight at anchor.

Day 3 : Pink Sands - Reef Island
This morning you will start with a delicious breakfast after which your skipper hoists the sails with a 10-minute sail to a coral garden. There you will go for a snorkeling session and then return on board for navigation on the southern sector of Rangiroa and an anchorage in front of Reef Island. Local barbecue lunch in a private location will be offered (optional). In the afternoon you can visit Reef Island and enjoy water sports. Take the opportunity to taste the typical and delicious coconut bread.

Day 4 : Reef Island - Tiputa
Early breakfast and a 2.5-hour sail to the Blue Lagoon. You will discover one of the most emblematic natural sites of the Tuamotus. You will be able to admire the tropical fish swimming around you in a kayak or on a paddle boat. You will then head to the village of Avatoru. Snorkelling at the "aquarium" in front of Tiputa pass. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spots in Polynesia where you can contemplate a myriad of fishes evolving alone (peacock wrasse, butterfly fish) or in schools (convict surgeon, paddle snapper) above the coral. You can also try drift diving and observe dolphins in their natural environment. Dinner and overnight at anchor.

Day 5 : Tiputa - Ohotu
Your cruise ends at the port of Ohotu at 8:00 am.

    Wonderful sailing trip in rangiroa

I booked the sailing trip very spontaneously and everything worked out great. It was a wonderful time with a lot of impressions.

  • Who organizes my transfer from the airport to the boat?

  • What do the skipper and hostess do?

All the skippers we offer are registered and hold the necessary professional certificates. They speak fluent English. If you have any special requirements regarding the skipper, please let us know. The skipper is responsible for navigation and your safety on board. Feel free to participate with him in the manoeuvres, he will be happy to teach you the basics of navigation. Concerning the organisation, the skipper sleeps on the boat, either in a separate cabin or in the saloon. The skipper is not in charge of cooking or washing dishes. On request, a hostess (or cook) can prepare your meals, clean the saloon, clean your cabins and more generally ensure that the boat is in good order. all our cabin cruises include the services, at a minimum, of a skipper and a hostess (unless otherwise specified in the contract)
  • Does the boat operate only with the sails?

It depends on the weather. When the winds are strong, the skipper will use the sails to sail silently. On days with calmer winds or to reach the stopovers on schedule, the skipper may need to use the engine. The engine is also used when entering and leaving the marinas. We cannot guarantee a minimum time of using the sails. The skipper will do their best to use the sails as much as possible and involve passengers in manoeuvres.
  • How are meals organized during my cruise?

Most of our cabin cruises include full board and the services of a hostess - cook. Alcoholic beverages are sometimes extra. Check the terms and conditions of your quotation carefully. On request, your advisor can send you the menus proposed on board. They are often prepared with fresh and local products. Please inform us as soon as possible if you are allergic to any food or if you are on a special diet.
  • Are the menus adapted to special dietary requirements?

We strive to offer the best possible services on our cruises and providing special dietary options are part of this. Please inform your charter advisor of any dietary restrictions or requirements well in advance of the cruise, so that the crew may be informed and make the necessary adaptations to the menus provided.
Please note that the preparation of adapted menus adds a certain level of complexity for our hostesses/cooks, who will prepare meals for 12 guests on board. Sourcing good quality substitute products also incurs additional costs. It is therefore necessary for us to charge a supplement, in order to guarantee that all our guests on board receive the same level of quality service.
  • Can I bring alcohol on board?

No passengers are allowed to bring bottles of alcohol on board.
