DEPARTURE: Lorient
The crew will meet you at 8am, at the port of Lorient, La Base. You will take the time to explore the sailboat with the skipper and meet your teammates over a coffee. After preparing the deck and listening to the safety briefing, it will be time to cast off. You will hoist the sails once you arrive in the harbor and head for the magnificent islands of the Gulf of Morbihan.

It's time to put the crew's instructions into practice to gain autonomy and become a seasoned old sea bass.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of the stopovers you can make during your journey :

  • Groix is a protected island with exceptional heritage. Port Tudy will be the perfect stopover to explore the island. You may be surprised to see a tuna disguised as a weather vane on the church tower. Groix also has the particularity of having more than 60 different minerals, including the very rare blue glaucophane which makes its rocks unique. As you sail along the west coast, you will spot Pen Men, the most powerful lighthouse in Morbihan.

  • The Quiberon peninsula will entice you with, to the west, its wild coast bordered by creeks and cliffs where the waves of the Atlantic come crashing down. On the bay side, the environment is calmer and its long beaches invite you to relax. Going further into the bay you will reach the "little sea", more commonly known as the Gulf of Morbihan. It contains the Ile aux Moines and the Ile d'Arz as well as many islets.

  • Belle-île is located just a short distance from the Quiberon peninsula. It offers intoxicating landscapes that inspired Monet and Matisse, among others. The coastal paths make it easy to explore the largest of the Breton islands, whose 4 towns bring together a most fascinating culture and heritage. The port of Sauzon will charm you with its traditional and colorful houses. The Palace is an essential stopover to discover the magnificent Vauban citadel.

  • Houat, Hoëdic's big sister, is a peaceful island where nature reigns supreme. To explore it, you will have no choice but to do it on foot or by bike, motorized vehicles being prohibited. You can also enjoy a moment of relaxation on the large sandy beach of Trearc'h Er Goured.

  • Hoëdic is a little piece of paradise 2.5 km long and only 1 km wide. Time stands still in the middle of this land of fishermen, which is very popular with sailors. In the center of the island is Fort d'Hoëdic, which houses temporary and permanent exhibitions. In the same way as in Houat, cars have been banned, making the island's atmosphere more peaceful.

  • ARRIVAL: Lorient
Your return to the port of Lorient is scheduled for around 5 p.m.
We hope you enjoy this course and that it will peak your curiosity about sailing in other regions. Why not try the Mediterranean next time?

      4 jours absolument fabuleux
