Itinerary of your cruise
Your passionate skipper and teacher will teach you to sail in a dream setting, where you will learn the basics of sailing and consolidate your knowledge. The Grenadines archipelago is the perfect playground for all sailing lovers.
DAY 1: Le Marin
Meet at 4 p.m. in the Marin Marina for your embarkation. On your arrival, you will meet your teammates and your skipper. He will present the boat, its equipment, and the program to you. The latter will be determined with the skipper, depending on the objectives of each participant. The ultimate goal is to be able to navigate and sail in total autonomy.
DAY 2 to 9: Navigation
It's time to cast off and head south. Your coastal sailing will allow you to acquire practical and theoretical skills (night sailing possible on request). You will work as follows: maneuvers, mooring techniques, navigation rules, tide calculations, and safety.
∼ TOWARDS THE SOUTH ∼
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the stops you will make during your journey in the south:
Saint Lucia: a mountainous island which is part of the "islands of wind" from the Grenadines archipelago. Located in the south of Martinique, it is easily recognizable thanks to its two peaks (rocky points). Its Qualibou (or Soufrière) volcano is renowned for the benefits of its sulfurous water basins.
Bequia: a peaceful place surrounded by small sheltered bays. Nothing is better than taking a dip before relaxing in the shade of the coconut palms. Once a favourite destination for sailors, Port Elizabeth has since become an essential passage for clearing customs formalities.
Baliceaux: a green island that is today uninhabited but remains with a painful past. At the end of the XVIII e century the English army banished more than 5,000 Garifunas (Caribbean people). The survivors were deported to an island in Honduras.
Moustique: a little corner of paradise that you will reach driven by the trade winds. This private island is mainly inhabited by jet-setters (singers, actors, billionaires...).
Canouan: a haven of peace bordered by a sublime coral reef on its Atlantic coast. The island has vegetation as lush as a tropical paradise. It is also a breeding ground for sea turtles.
Mayreau: an island with a lively atmosphere with a unique village nestled in its heights. Its turquoise water will be perfect for training you in mooring techniques.
Tobago Cays: a group of 5 islets (Petit Rameau, Petit Tabac, Petit Bateau, Baradal and Jamesby) linked by a coral reef. This El Dorado is a must for all sailing enthusiasts. Sailing nearby also allows you to improve your ability to set the sails.
Union: a volcanic island whose silhouette has earned it the nickname "Tahiti of the Antilles". It revolves around two villages on the south coast: Clifton and Ashton. Union is known for the quiet and wild side of "Chatham Bay" (west coast).
Saint-Vincent: the main island of the archipelago, dominated by its volcano, Soufrière (1,234 meters above sea level). It is covered with a tropical forest which shelters a particularly diverse fauna and flora. Its capital Kingstown is a vibrant and colourful city.
Palm Island: formerly known as "Prune Island", is a former swamp island where hundreds of coconut trees were planted to be farmed. This small piece of land of barely 55 hectares has been transformed into a first-class hotel and resort.
∼ TOWARDS THE NORTH ∼
Below is a non-exhaustive list of the stops you will make during your journey in the south:
Dominica: is an enchanting island where nature reigns supreme. Particularly wild, it is covered by a thick tropical forest and is crossed by no less than 365 rivers and a dozen waterfalls. It's also a renowned spot for whale watching.
Les Saintes: is an archipelago located in the south of Guadeloupe and composed of two main islands, Terre-de-Haut and Terre-de-Bas, as well as other smaller and uninhabited islands. The turquoise waters and sheltered anchorages make it a particularly pleasant place to go sailing.
Guadeloupe is like a butterfly in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. The two largest islands, Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre, are separated by the Salt River. Once ashore, you will taste Creole cuisine full of traditional flavours.
Marie Galante: owes its name to one of Christopher Columbus' ships (Maria Galanta), who discovered it. It is also often called the "big cake" because of its round shape and lack of hills. You will likely see its many sugar cane fields from your sailboat. It also boasts the "best rum in the world"...
DAY 10: Le Marin
Your disembarkation at Le Marin is scheduled for around 9 a.m. See you on the water!
Please note: The itinerary will be determined by the person making the initial booking. Do not hesitate to contact your GlobeSailor advisor for more information regarding the dates you wish to book.

I had significant expectations but they were very much exceeded. Everything was top notch: Skipper Nicolas Robbes, teaching, other crew members, team work, route planning, sporty yet comfortable boat, weather and winds.

Séjour mille fois top, je me suis régalé !!!

All our instructors are state graduates, educators and experienced. They are used to sailing on recent and efficient sailboats such as RM and POGO. As the courses are open to all levels, the instructors know how to adapt and give appropriate advice to everyone.
How are my transfers between the airport and the boat organized?

Payment for this service is generally to be made to GlobeSailor at the time of payment of the balance or directly on site in cash. Do not forget to send your arrival times to your advisor.
How are meals organized on board?
Provisioning is provided in the amount of the on-board expenses. You will do your basic shopping in a supermarket located on the port. For the rest, you will stock up on vegetables, fruits, fish, and lobsters throughout the cruise (markets on the islands, street vendors...).
Allow around 200 € / person for the on-board expenses (amount strictly given as an indication).
