The crew will show you the Gulf of Siam (also known as the Gulf of Thailand) and some of its legendary islands, including the popular Koh Samui, the spectacular Ang Thong National Park, the delightful Koh Tao and its incredible snorkeling spots.

Frequently asked questions
-
Can I book my flights or a stay in addition to my cruise?
YES!
Our travel agency can book flights and accommodation for all our customers embarking on a cruise. We offer tailor-made packages to suit your needs and budget.
We have created two offers that are 100% customizable :
- Serenity service:Booking your plane tickets.
- Extension service : Book your accommodation (hotel, B&B, villa...) and/or complementary activities (excursions, guided tours, car hire...) to make the most of our rich heritage.
Our advisors, specialists in the destination, will send you their best suggestions for your holiday.
-
What documents do I need to travel to Thailand?
To enter Thailand, as a British citizen your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 6 months after the date you arrive and have at least 1 blank page.
You can visit Thailand for a period of 60 days for the purpose of tourism, business engagements, and urgent or ad-hoc work. This visa category can be extended for another period not exceeding 30 days.
-
Do the crew speak English?
It is quite common to meet people of different nationalities on board our cruises, as we attract an international clientele. This makes for many enriching exchanges and great encounters!
What's more, our crews are mainly English-speaking and qualified to offer you a multilingual service. -
Who will take care of my air transport to Thailand?
Your flight tickets can be booked by the GlobeSailor team. Simply let your consultant know when you book your cruise. -
How are my transfers between the airport and the boat organised?
Your transfers are not included in your cruise package. If you wish, your GlobeSailor advisor can help you organise them. Don't hesitate to ask for more information. -
How does a cruise with a skipper and hostess work?
All the skippers we offer are registered and hold the necessary professional certificates. They speak fluent English. The skipper is in charge of navigation and your safety on board. Don't hesitate to take part in the maneuvers with him, he'll be delighted to teach you the basics of navigation. In terms of organization, the skipper and hostess/cook sleep on board (either in the saloon or in cabins).
All our cabin cruises include the services of at least one skipper and one hostess (unless otherwise specified in the contract). -
Does the boat sail exclusively?
The catamarans and sailing boats offered for cruising move slowly in light airs, particularly in summer if the wind is too light, or if the boat's point of sail is not optimal. Engine support is sometimes necessary to keep to the stops on the itinerary and to ensure that you have a place in port or at anchor for the night. We cannot guarantee a minimum sailing time under sail. Nevertheless, your skipper will do his or her utmost to navigate under sail and involve those who wish to participate in the maneuvers. -
How are meals organised on board?
During your cruise, you will enjoy full board, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. These are organised and prepared by the hostess/cook. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are not included, but can be added at extra cost. Please check the terms and conditions of your quotation carefully. Please inform us as soon as possible if you are allergic to certain foods or have a special diet. -
Are menus adapted to special diets?
We strive to offer the best possible service on our cruises, and special dietary requirements are one of them. By informing your consultant well in advance of the cruise of your dietary restrictions and/or specific diet, we will be able to adapt the menu.
We would also like to point out that preparing these different menus adds a certain level of complexity for our hostesses/cooks, who have to prepare meals for 12 guests in functional kitchens with limited space. It is also difficult to find good substitute products without incurring additional costs. It has therefore been decided for this cruise to charge a supplement to ensure that all our guests on board receive the same level of service. -
Can I bring alcohol on board?
Passengers are not allowed to bring bottles of alcohol on board. -
What does the on-board equipment include?
The boarding pass includes the following items
- Payment of taxes in the national parks
- Tourist taxes and landing fees on the islands
- Mooring and mooring charges at certain ports of call
- The cost of any additional supplies: fresh water, fuel, gas, fresh produce, etc. -
What payments do I need to make to confirm my booking?
To confirm your booking, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor who will place an option for you while he/she collects your deposit. The booking will only be considered definitive once your deposit has been received (by bank transfer, Paypal or credit card), ranging from 30% to 50% of the total cost of the booking. A 100% deposit will be required for all bookings made less than one month before departure. The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the date of embarkation. -
What happens in the event of cancellation?
In the event of cancellation, you must inform your GlobeSailor advisor as soon as possible. Whatever the cause, the following cancellation fees will be due: up to 90 days before departure: 30% /// from 89 to 60 days: 50% /// from 59 to 30 days: 75% /// from 29 days to departure: 100% of the amount of your booking.
We advise our customers to take out cancellation insurance with Ouest Assurance: http://www.ouest-assurances.fr
