An ideal and central location, Saint Raphaël is the perfect starting point to explore other various destinations along the Cote d’Azur, namely Cannes to the east, and Saint Tropez to the west. Any sailing location along the South of France is bound to prove popular with yacht charters, particularly in the summer months. High season for sailing in Saint Raphaël occurs in July and August, meaning the shoulder months of June and September may be more convenient to choose in terms of finding space in the marina. Temperatures are still in the high 20s in this time, so you will still be able to avail of the exquisite sunshine for which the French Riviera is renowned. Water temperatures tend to be more pleasurable in the autumn months, after a long hot summer. Spring months may also see slightly stronger winds in Saint Raphaël called the Mistral Winds, but otherwise it is a pleasant and relaxing sailing experience.

There is no shortage of great food establishments in this town, so make sure you sample as much as you can!
If you are flying to Saint Raphaël, you will probably be landing in one of three airports: Nice, Marseille or Toulon-Hyères. Between these airports, most international routes are catered for including EU, US, and other destinations. The town is also services by trains, meaning if you are travelling to your yacht charter from a European destination, you can choose this mode of transport. Buses are also available to use should you wish to arrive in Saint Raphaël on road.
