If there was ever an Italian land on which the gods have set foot upon, it is Calabria! You don't have to spend very long in this region, in the southernmost part of the "boot", to understand why. Vines stretch as far as the eye can see, citrus crops illuminate the landscape, not forgetting oranges, prickly pears and pomegranates. Here, nature sure isn’t lacking in charm!Despite this, Calabria is not overrun with tourists when the sunny season hits. On the contrary, it carefully cultivates its myth, that of mystery and unspoilt land. The only way to unearth its secrets is to go there, to linger in the mountain villages, before taking a dip in the crystal-clear water. The tip of the Italian peninsula wonderfully combines sea and mountains. It is bordered by 800kilometres of coastline; the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west and the Ionian Sea to the east. Aboard your yacht charter in Calabria, discover this captivating region in the heart of the Mezzogiorno.

The climate of the coastal cities, bordering the Tyrrhenian Sea, share the characteristics of a Mediterranean climate, with a slight oceanic influence. Thus, winters are mild and rainy on the Gioia Tauro or Paola side. This is quite normal for a Mediterranean climate. But during the summer, dry spells are less pronounced, as the rain continues to fall. Luckily, thermally speaking, the pleasant temperatures in April become quite hot in July and August, sometimes hitting 30°C. From May to October the climate is favourable. The temperature averages at 21°C and it rains about a third of the time during summer.
