With unbeatable weather from November to May, enjoy days of pure sunshine and bliss! Average temperatures during these months range from 23°C to 29°C, with low levels of rainfall, if any. Further, the breeze blows steady during this period as well, making it extremely suitable for renting a yacht. With weather conditions as ideal as this, you will be able to kick back, relax, and enjoy all the activities La Paz and the Sea of Cortez have to offer!
One of the great things about La Paz is its proximity to large cities and tourist destinations with the same beauty, but untouched by the masses. Because Los Cabos San Lucas is so close in proximity to La Paz, there are still relatively low levels of tourists here, making it an ideal playground for you during your yacht charter. Local charm, preserved natural beauty, and fewer crowds make for a laid-back and authentic experience in the capital of Baja California Sur where you can stay in complete tranquillity. The friendly and warm atmosphere will welcome you before you even set foot on the boat!
Another strong point is that while there are fewer tourists in La Paz, there are still just as many activities to enjoy, especially with a yacht charter! The possibilities to snorkel, paddle board, swim, and generally explore the sea are still on the table, but in a less populated destination than hotspots such as Cabo San Lucas. You will not be short on seaside activities during your visit to La Paz.
We recommend checking out Balandra Beach, possibly the most famous beach in La Paz due to its soft, white sand that stretches for miles coupled with transparent turquoise waters. Besides the postcard setting, there are also a multitude of activities to enjoy offered locally, such as marine wildlife excursions or aquatic sports. The mushroom rock, otherwise known as “El Hungo,“ is something to keep an eye out for if you take a trip to Balandra Beach.
This season is also amazing for exploring the natural wildlife and marine ecosystems that make this area so scenic. Whale watching, snorkelling through the coral reefs of Espiritu Santo National Park, or diving with sharks can all be done off the coast of La Paz, making it an exemplary destination for nature lovers. Boat tours for whale watching or dolphin spotting are common and readily available for tourists and locals alike, as well as special tours for diving with the biggest fish in the world, whale sharks! However, do not be alarmed by these gentle giants' size, as they are truly docile animals. If you prefer something less daunting, there will also be an abundance of opportunities to swim with playful sea lions! A boat charter in La Paz provides you with all the resources you need to truly explore the marine ecosystem and embrace the natural beauty of the Sea of Cortez.
