The Costa Smeralda

The Costa Smeralda, spanning 55km between the gulfs of Arzachena and Cugnana, is renowned for its beautiful beaches and turquoise blue waters. Also referred to as the Emerald Coast, this area is synonymous with dreamlike beaches and quiet, secluded creeks. Learn about Capriccoli and its surrounding beaches

• Capriccioli beach is situated 8km to the east of Cala di Volpe, south of Porto Cervo. This rather small beach surrounded with typical Mediterranean vegetation is sheltered from the wind. The waters of this beach are shallow, extremely clear and often very calm. Therefore, it is frequently chosen by families with children. The beach is divided in two parts by granite rocks.
• From here, it is possible to see the small island clusters of Soffi and La Camere. The largest island, Mortorio, is a little natural oasis that can be reached by boat or, for the more athletically inclined, it’s within swimming distance. A real paradise! Capriccioli beach is also equipped with all the necessary services. Very easy access from Oblia and Porto Cervo. The rocks here are typical of the Gallura region, weathered by the sea and the wind. Gallura granite is renowned around the world.
• Only 120 metres long, Piccolo Pevero beach is separated from the bigger Grande Pevero (300m) by a small strip of headland. It’s surrounded by bushes and Mediterranean vegetation, not to mention its crystal-clear waters. With a gently sloping seafloor and shallow depth, this beach is perfect for small children to play.
• Liscia Ruja Beach: Completed surrounded by trees, this beach is best reached by boat! Here, you can rent sun loungers and sunshades if you wish. Did you know… Liscia Ruja is also called Long Beach as it is the longest beach of the Costa Smeralda!
