Sailing route in Brazil from Angre dos Reis

Day 1 - Angra dos Reis to Ilha Grande (12 miles)
Set sail for Ilha Grande, which is the largest of the 365 Brazilian islands. This island boasts 109 fine sandy beaches! On your way towards the Vila do Abraao bay, make sure to stop over at one of the many beautiful coves to the north of Ilha Grande. Make the most of today to relax and unwind, try some diving, and of course sunbathe on the beach. Spend the evening in Vila do Abraao a bay which is well protected from the wind and has a wonderful lively atmosphere thanks to the numerous bars, restaurants and shops.

Day 2 - López Méndez Beach (11 miles)
Continue on your sailing route towards the south of the island, and more specifically the breathtaking beach of López Méndez. You will discover a deserted stretch of fine sandy beach over 2km long, bordered by turquoise blue waters. The beach at López Méndez is truly exceptional, especially when approached by boat, Enjoy a cocktail whilst admiring the sunset.

Day 3 - Avantureiro (22 miles)
Today we head for the deserted beach of Avantureiro. Spend the day here at ease, but for the evening, sail towards the beach at Provetá, with around 500 metres of crystal clear waters and a wonderful atmosphere. Step ashore and try some of the delicious local cuisine or learn to dance the Samba!

Day 4 - Paraty (21 miles)
Next stop on our sailing trip is Paraty, and for the more keen sailors there is also the possibility to visit some of the smaller islands nearby. Paraty is a colonial city which boasts an exceptional landscape. Many celebrities (including Mick Jagger and Tom Cruise) have rented homes on this enchanting Brazilian island. Stop off at Paraty and discover the many art galleries and famous restaurants. For music lovers many of the bars quite often host jazz concerts. Or if you like the samba beat and more lively music, then there are lots of bars in Paraty where you can dance the night away.

Day 5 - Araçatiba (22 miles)
Today we make our way back towards the island of Ilha Grande, and stop at the beautiful bay and beach at Araçatiba. This is the second most important tourist spot on the island, and this wonderful small beach is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day. There are also lots of restaurants and shops nearby to enjoy!

Day 6 - Return to Marina Verolme (10 miles)
It is sadly time to make your way back to the base at Verolme. Spend the evening on one of the 365 islands and make the most of the incredible natural landscape, Brazilian beaches and clear waters. Complete check out at the port and don’t forgot to buy some souvenirs to remember your wonderful sailing holiday in Brazil.
