With it's enchanting islands, renowned gastronomy and it's endless anchorages. Here's a standard itinerary for a week's sailing charter from Athens.

Day 1: Arrive at Athens port for check in
You will arrive at the Marina Alimos pontoon to meet the base manager, check-in and get your supplies ready. Don't forget to ask the base manager any questions you may have about the boat and your itinerary.

Day 2: Athens to Kea (40 Nautical Miles)
Kea is a little known island for most yachtsmen, but it's also the gateway to the Cyclades. Here you can enjoy the crystal clear waters but also go ashore to discover the typical houses and hidden villas. typical of Greece. According to mythology, the nymphs lived on Kea until the jealous gods sent a fever to ravage them. The statue of the lion of Kea can still be seen on the island. From Kea you can adapt your itinerary in the Cyclades if necessary depending on the weather.

Day 3: Kea to Syros (21 Nautical Miles)
Depart Kea for Syros, the capital of the Cyclades. As you approach the island you will be surprised by the neoclassical style of the Syros. For keen hikers, a stopover in the north of the island is a must as it retains a wild soul with breathtaking beaches. For those who prefer a little rest, there are several beautiful beaches in the area around Galissas. In the evening take a stroll and enjoy the subtle blend of neoclassical style and the traditional Cycladic architechture. Before returning to your boat for dinner.

Day 4: Syros to Paros (33 Nautical Miles)
The third largest island in the Cyclades, Paros awaits you with all its history and ancient culture. By stopping over in Paros you will witness the oldest traces of life in the archipelago. Paros drew its wealth and concentrated its development around marble which made it rich in ancient times. A crossroads of peoples, Paros was dominated by Athens, The Macedonians, The Romans and then the Byzantines. For a lovely on land stroll we recommend a visit to Lefkes, undoubtedly the most beautiful village on the island. As for beaches you can choose between a range of different coves and anchorages such as Naoussa Bay.

Day 5: Paros to Serifos (31 Nautical Miles)
The rocky Serifos awaits you after a few hours of sailing. This Cycladic island will surprise you with its charm and authenticity. Around the port of Livadi, you can discover several beautiful beaches where you can anchor your boat such as Lia, with its turquoise waters, or the quieter Karavi. You can also explore the charming village of Chora with its breathtaking views of the Serifos coastline. Less easily accessible is the beaches of Koutalas Bay which are still worth the visit.

Day 6: Serifos to Kynthos (23 Nautical Miles)
Kythnos is an authentic island that has remained on the fringes of mass tourism, retaining its rural character. The unspoiled coastline gives you a choice of beaches or quiet anchorages in pebbled coves. Linger in Merichas where the lively quayside and tavernas will enchant you, or take a stroll through Driopida where you'll be amazed by its tiled roofs. On your last day, you can also take advantage of the thermal springs on the island of Kynthos by heading to Loutra. Make the most of this last evening to sample the specialties of Greek cuisine and especially their excellent fish and seafood

Day 7: Kythnos to Athens (48 Nautical Miles)
Today is your last day sailing and you will return to Athens. Plan to leave early in the morning for this long crossing to the Port of Athens. You will spend the last night on board before leaving the next morning. Although its important for you to make a note that Alimos marina can be noisy. Don't forget to tidy up and clean the boat to facilitate your checkout with the base manager. The Cyclades and Greece in general are a fantastic playground for sailing and you've now experienced part of it.
