This is the special charm of a chartering a sailboat—you can get to know the country on your own terms!
Baja California is a jewel to be discovered. La Paz and its surroundings, the city with its Mexican atmosphere, its beaches surrounded by deserts, cactus and transparent waters... Access to both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic, the rental of sailboats in Mexico will be without a doubt a good holiday option. Are you ready to discover the different locations?
It is the capital of Baja California del Sur and one of the main points of interest since it is the departure point for many cruises. Here you can start your route with the monohull. There are many activities that you can do in the city, our recommendation is to start by visiting some of the best-known points of interest such as the Cathedral of Our Lady, with a unique architectural style different from European cathedrals. You can walk along the Malecón, a large promenade by the sea, where you will find many restaurants and cafes to rest and enjoy your time. If you are a bit more adventurous, we recommend you finish your visit swimming with sea lions, which inhabit Espiritu Santo Island, and end up at Balandra beach, about 25 km from La Paz, where you will find one of the most famous attractions of the city, a natural pool of warm water, shallow and protected from the wind.
Mazatlán is one of the main ports on the Pacific coast of Mexico. Located just below the Tropic of Cancer, it has an exceptional climate all year round. A sailboat in Mexico is the best way to discover this coast, characterized by sport and commercial fishing. The Basilica Cathedral and Plaza Revolución, together with the Angela Peralta Theatre are its main tourist attractions. As for its beaches, Stone Island must be an indispensable stop. Much less populated than the city, full of palm trees and coconut palms, you will also be able to stroll through traditional villages and get a more realistic view of the country's interesting culture.
Situated on the edge of a huge bay full of tropical vegetation, it has managed to retain its charm despite being an area quite frequented by tourists. We recommend you visit Yelapa, a traditional fishing village known for its nature and the many coconut trees, a place that looks straight off a postcard. If you have made this stop, do not forget to visit Los Arcos, a coastal area characterized by its arch-shaped caves, which together with the light colour of the sea is the perfect place to anchor and spend hours diving and contemplating the great marine life. Rent a sailboat in Mexico and you can do other sports such as kayaking or diving! Between November and April, the whales arrive at Puerto de Vallarta, you can't miss it!
Cabo is one of the main tourist spots in the country. Swim in the transparent waters of its beaches and fall in love with its rich marine atmosphere, relax on one of its white sand beaches or put your sport fishing skills to the test. El Arco on Los Amorosos beach is a large rock formation that makes this beach very special. Have you made your itinerary yet?
