2014 marked the 50th anniversary of Dufour Yachts. In 1964, Michel Dufour embarked on creating his own shipyard and the brand was born. Over the years, Dufour Yachts has become a reference in the design and construction of monohulls. As soon as 1965, Michel Dufour took people by surprise with the arrival of the Arpege, a sailboat still considered today as a precursor in terms of quality and performance. Over the years and by a constant focus on innovation, the Dufour shipyard has revolutionised the industry, offering increasingly modern and efficient lines of boats. In 2003, Dufour Yachts imposed itself as a leader on the market with the election of the Dufour 40 as Boat of the Year and of the Dufour 34 as European Yacht of the Year. With ranges such as “Performance” and “Grand Large”, the brand offers boats conceived for speed as well as for the sheer pleasure of sailing.
