~ 7-night cruise in the Zanzibar Archipelago and 2-night safari in Tanzania ~
DAY 1: Dar Es Salaam
The crew welcomes you at 5pm in the port of Dar Es Salaam, the former capital of Tanzania, to board your catamaran. You will meet the other passengers and enjoy your first dinner of local cuisine. Overnight in the port
DAY 2: Dar Es Salaam - Kizimkazi - Pangume (approx. 6hrs30mins sailing time)
After breakfast, the captain sets sail for zanzibar. You will stop off at Kizimkazi, a charming fishing village in the south of the island. We offer an optional excursion ($40/person) to explore the Jozani forest, a unique nature reserve and home to the red colobus monkey, an indigenous species of monkey. After this immersion in nature, enjoy a visit to the village to discover the traditional way of life of the local people. The day ends with a short sail to the island of Pangume, where you will spend the night.
DAY 3: Pangume - Menai Bay - Bawe (approx. 3hrs sailing time)
This morning you set off to explore the magnificent Menai Bay, also known as Safari Blue. This exceptional marine reserve is the ideal place for snorkelling and swimming amongst a myriad of multicoloured fish. The bay is also a prime area for spotting dolphins in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you set sail for the island of Bawe. During the journey, you will see the famous Chumbe lighthouse (built in 1904), an iconic landmark in the region. We also recommend keeping an eye out for whales, which are quite common in these waters.
DAY 4: Bawe - Kendwa (approx. 5hrs30mins sailing time)
The skipper hoists the sails for a northbound trip to Kendwa, one of Zanzibar's tourist gems. On board, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the coastline, with the skipper getting as close to the shore as possible to reveal the full beauty of Zanzibar from the sea. With its festive atmosphere, restaurants and fine sandy beach which is ranked among the most beautiful on the island, Kendwa promises a unique experience. It's also an ideal spot for swimming and exploring the beauty of the seabed with fins, masks and a snorkel.
DAY 5: Kendwa - Mnemba - Nungwi (approx. 2hrs30mins sailing time)
Start the day with a relaxing morning in Kwenda, soaking up the sun or strolling through the local shops in search of souvenirs. Around midday, the catamaran sets sail for the tropical island of Mnemba. This is renowned as one of Zanzibar's best snorkelling spots, with its crystal-clear waters and fascinating marine life, not to mention the chance to spot some dolphins. At the end of the day, your captain will take you to Nungwi, a small paradise village bordered by a palm-fringed beach.
DAY 6: Nungwi - Prison Island - Stone Town (approx. 6hrs30mins sailing time)
Set sail early in the morning for Stone Town. First you will stop off at Prison Island, a Zanzibar landmark where convicts were sent to prison from the 19th century onwards. The island is now home to a remarkable population of giant tortoises, some of which are over 120 years old! (visit at an additional cost of $7/person). Back on board, your cruise continues towards Nakupenda, which means ‘I love you’ in Swahili, and it's heavenly sandbank; an invitation to relax! In the afternoon, you return to Stone Town and explore this UNESCO listed town steeped in history.
DAY 7: Stone Town - Dar Es Salaam (approx 5hrs30mins sailing time)
Enjoy a leisurely morning discovering Stone Town at your own pace. You can stroll through its narrow streets and admire the architecture with its many different influences: Arabian, Indian, European and Swahili. The town is also home to a museum dedicated to the famous lead singer of the band Queen, Freddie Mercury. The museum is located in the house where Freddie Mercury lived during his childhood. Around midday, you begin your journey back and dock in the port of Dar es Salaam at the end of the day. To mark the end of this adventure, you will share a dinner with the crew. It's a great opportunity to chat about your favourite ports of call!
DAY 8: Dar Es Salaam - Mikuni National Park
Breakfast is served between 7am and 7.30am, then enjoy a transfer that takes you to Dar es Salaam railway station. You take the train at 9.30am to Morogoro (approx. 2hrs30m). On arrival, a taxi will be waiting to take you to Mikuni National Park (approx. 2 hrs) to begin your safari. Keep your eyes peeled on the way, as you may see many wild animals (baboons, antelope, elephants, giraffes...). You will arrive in the village of Atupele Camp in the middle of the afternoon, where you will rest before visiting a Masai village. You will experience a full immersion in their culture and traditions!
DAY 9: Mikuni National Park
You will wake up early and have breakfast at 5:30am, you will then leave for the safari just before dawn, ideal for reaching the park around 6:30am/7:00am, when the wildlife is most active. You will spend the morning with a local guide, observing the animals in their natural habitat. At around 1pm, you'll head off to a restaurant for lunch and to continue admiring the scenery. After this excursion, you return to Atupele Camp and relax by the pool or play billiards in your cottage. After dinner, you head out at dusk for another safari drive to spot nocturnal animals.
DAY 10: Mikuni National Park - Dar Es Salaam
After breakfast, you depart for a transfer to Morogoro to catch the 9:50am train. During the journey through the national park, keep an eye out for the surrounding flora and fauna! The train arrives in Dar es Salaam at 11.40am, marking the end of your adventure.

DAY 1: Azam Marina - Chapwabi (approx. 20mins sailing time)
Meet at 5pm in Azam Marina to board your catamaran. The evening will begin with a welcome from the crew before we cast off for a short sail to Chapwani. This peaceful island boasts rich tropical vegetation and a white beach, perfect for relaxing after a dip in the crystal-clear waters.
DAY 2: Chapwani - Prison Island - Kendwa (approx 5hrs30mins sailing time)
After breakfast you travel to Prison Island, an island famous for its fascinating history. The island is also home to a reserve of giant tortoises imported from the Seychelles in the late 1800s (visit at an additional cost of $7/person). Some are over 120 years old and weigh several hundred kilos. Back on the boat, you set sail for the small town of Kendwa and discover its idyllic beaches surrounded by turquoise water. The coral reef offers a rich and diverse underwater life that you can explore with fins, masks and snorkels. Kendwa is also known for its restaurants, which offer a warm and festive atmosphere.
DAY 3: Kendwa - Njao (approx. 10hrs sailing time)
At first light, while you're still asleep, your captain will hoist the anchor and set sail for the north of Pemba Island. During the crossing, keep an eye on your surroundings, as you may spot pods of dolphins or whales! On arrival, you will anchor near the small island of Njao. In the afternoon, a visit to a local village will allow you to discover the authentic way of life of the surrounding communities.
DAY 4: Njao - Misali (approx. 4hrs sailing time)
Relax and enjoy your morning by exploring the wonders of Pemba at your own pace. We recommend getting up early to hike through the Ngezi rainforest and discover its exceptional biodiversity. Here you can admire a variety of wildlife and the beauty of the centuries-old trees. After this immersion in nature, cool off in the ocean before relaxing on the beach. On site, the crew can help you organise your transfers around the island. You'll set off on your cruise in the afternoon, dropping anchor in front of Misali. Here you can observe vervet monkeys, the island's only inhabitants. In the evening, relax around a campfire on the beach.
DAY 5: Misali - Jombe (approx. 4hrs sailing time)
After a morning exploring the seabed and swimming with the fish of Misali, relax aboard the catamaran as the captain sets sail for Jombe. Admire the seascape as far as the eye can see and the incredible sandbank of Jombe Island as you approach. It's a haven of peace where nature reigns supreme, untouched by mass tourism. Once again, it's the perfect place for swimming and snorkelling in the turquoise waters.
DAY 6: Jombe - Mnemba - Nungwi (approx. 5hrs sailing time)
In the morning, you set sail for Mnemba, a private island with immaculate beaches. Known for its exceptional beauty, this private island, sometimes said to belong to Bill Gates, is renowned as one of Zanzibar's best spots for snorkelling and watching dolphins in their natural habitat. In the late afternoon, you will sail to Nungwi, a charming town in the north of Zanzibar. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the town before going to bed.
DAY 7: Nungwi - Stone Town (approx. 5hrs20mins sailing time)
It's time to begin your return journey to Stone Town. Take advantage of this seaside getaway to relax and admire the coastal scenery. During the crossing, take a break on the Nakupenda sandbank, a haven of peace for nature lovers. You dock in Stone Town in the afternoon. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this historic city is a veritable open-air museum, where Arab, Indian and European influences blend harmoniously.
DAY 8: Stone Town - Azam Marina (approx 30mins sailing time)
Your cruise ends with a short crossing to Azam Marina. This is the moment to thank the crew for an unforgettable experience. Disembarkation is scheduled for around 9am.
